I love it when a plan comes together…. or not

“The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.  ” ~ Edward Phelps
Yep, that is another quote from Inspirational Spark (i really hope i am doing those link things right. please let me know if i am not).
Speaking of mistakes….. I have documentation of my recent ones (see other posts). Here’s the thing… I did not intend to reblog so much. I was checking out the blogs this morning while have having my nice, relaxing breakfast. I came across several blogs that I really enjoyed. They made me smile, made me laugh (in public out loud), inspired me, and all around brought quite a joyful morning. Being able to have access to such a variety of people with such varying viewpoints all in a matter of seconds with just one click or point of a finger is quite amazing. It is very encouraging to know that there are people all over the world who are just good people.
What I had intended to do was create a post which had links to other sites where I had found something that really stuck out, preferably with an explanation as to why it stuck out. well…. that isn’t exactly what happened. Instead, I commented on multiple sites I looked at, and reblogged several too. Then I tried to fix it while I was on the go, with the app on my phone. Yeah… that didn’t turn out the way I intended either.
Wether intended or not, whats done is done. I did like all the blogs or posts I both commented on and reblogged so they will stay the way they are. With that said, this is what I have learned in my blogging adventure today…..
The people within a blog may be people you never get a chance to meet up front and in person, but the words on their pages give you a glimpse into what lies within their heart, mind, and soul. They write to share their joys, to find comfort for their sorrows, to release their angers, to reach out, to feel complete, to join together, to bring inspiration, to enlighten,  to find a connection, to bring out that spark that is within another no matter how small it may be.
WE write for all that and more.
WE read for all that and more.
WE accomplish all that and more.

Just to make you laugh

….and the vey next thing i read caused me to choke on my tea and i got a few strange looks while i was laughing out loud… so i had to share.

A Whole Lot of Blah

1- Make vanilla pudding. Put in mayo jar. Eat in public.

2- Hire two private investigators. Get them to follow each other.

3- Wear shirt that says “Life.” Hand out lemons on street corner.

4- Get into a crowded elevator and say “I bet you’re all wondering why I gathered you here today.”

5- Major in philosophy. Ask people WHY they would like fires with that.

6- Run into a store, ask what year it is. When someone answers, yell “It worked!” and run out cheering.

7- Become a doctor. Change last name to Acula.

8- Change name to Simon. Speak in third person.

9- Buy a parrot. Teach the parrot to say “Help! I”ve been turned into a parrot.”

10- Follow joggers around in your car blasting “Eye of the Tiger” for encouragement.

11- Wait until someone is about to sneeze. Right before they do, loudly scream “PIKA PIKAAAAA.”

Fun with family

I am finding the most amazing things on blogs this morning, while having my tea and chocolate croissant. To know that there are truly wonderful people out there in this world of ours is heartwarming. Some are inspiring, some are insightful, and quite a few bring a smile to your face.
We all seek to find others to share, laugh, and cry with. We have devised a way to do so even if we are unable to find like minded people nearby. The wonderful world of the web, and all the blogs in between.

AshRuns100s

I generally just like to make a fool out of myself pretty much wherever i go. It stems from a major lack of care regarding the outside world around me. It also has a lot to do with that I try to lead my children by example.  (?….)

The best way of doing that?
Why, car dancing and making scenes in a restaurant of course.

Greetings earthlings

I am not entirely sure what the break free badge is but…. there’s some pretty cool stuff on this blog. I like the post that’s ‘we are all earthlings’. So true… we are all human, no matter what nationality.

Really? How hard can it be to get breakfast?

I don’t like coffee. I like the smell of coffee, but i can’t stand the taste of it. Not even a little bit.
A coworker gave me a Starbucks gift card for christmas just this last year and I discovered that they do have one of my beverage staples. Tea. I have also recently discovered that they have a decent breakfast selection. One of my favorites actually, chocolate croissants. The staff has been quite helpful and friendly towards me and I have had one or two offer up suggestions for someone like me who doesn’t like coffee.

They also have wi-fi so since I had an extra hour this morning I figured I would get a tea, chocolate croissant, and maybe work or post on this blog. Easy, right? A nice way to start a saturday morning. Hmm… well…… I guess not.

As I’m looking at the breakfast selection, one of the staff walks up to the counter and waits. His demeanor gives off an  ‘I dont like to wait’  attitude. Oh great, he’s impatient. So I order a chocolate croissant and a hot tea. He asks if there’s anything else, rings it up, and gives me an amount that’s about half of what it should be.
Did you get the chocolate croissant.?

No.
Now he is a little ticked and says he didn’t hear that part. He adds in the breakfast and its now more than I thought, but I don’t think its off by much so I just leave it be. The guy is obviously not too happy with me already so lets just get my stuff and got sit outside. Away from him.
Now, since I don’t like coffee and I don’t know much about it, I havent been to Starbucks much and half of their equipment and menu confuses me. The only reason I have even checked the place out is because I received a gift card for Christmas. He pours me something in a cup (umm… that doesn’t seem right) and puts it on the counter. I asked him what it was and he says coffee (of course I’m sure you could imagine the look on his face when I asked him that question since I was in a coffee place). um, I ordered hot tea.

That helped his mood immensely. He looked as if he wanted to throw the cup. **I have worked retail before, most people have at some point in their lives, and I definitely understand and sympathize with having a bad day, but to glare at someone as if they are the worst person in the world all because you did not clarify that you heard what you heard correctly…. that’s just inconsiderate.** He glares, and huffs, and his posture changes. His headset for some reason gets knocked off his head so he adjusts it forcefully around the back of his neck (he soooo wanted to chuck the thing across the room). I can see the frustration building in him. It’s just emanating off of him in waves. Aside from telling him that what i ordered wasn’t what he made, I am keeping my mouth shut. His frustration and anger are getting the better of me and I start getting antsy and frustrated myself.

He steps away and goes to the case with the muffins, breads, and pastries. He stands there with his head down fiddling with whatever it is he’s got. I look through the glass and see that he is having a bit of trouble with plastic wrap on a plate. Wait a minute…. is that a cookie? Really? I’m not sure though so I decide to wait and see. Plus, he seems really pissed at the plastic wrap and I really do not want to see how pissed he gets if I tell him he is fighting with that plastic wrap for no good reason since that was not what I ordered.

What kind of tea do you want?

Just regular tea.

The 3 other times I have gotten tea, the have always put 2 tea bags in it, and I have learned to ask for a small cup of ice. This time I got 1 bag, and i didn’t even bother to ask for a cup of ice. I picked up the tea, the bag (which did have a cookie in it), walked out heading straight for my vehicle, and left. The guy had me so worked up that I was afraid of what I would say if I did say anything, and I definitely did not want to take the time to relax and enjoy my breakfast in an environment that had me so worked up. By the time I left all I wanted to do was throw the stuff, preferably at that guy behind the counter. I never ate my cookie, which I didn’t want in the first place, and I just finally had my tea (after lunch).

Grr…. sigh…. at least I know where NOT to go next time.

Inspiration….. be yourself

Let’s try this again (i somehow completely hosed up my other post)….
Short but sweet post. These are from one of my favorite websites. inspirationalspark.com
I like that website and have several favorite quotes from there. These aren’t my favorites but I do like these ones. Enjoy!
NOTE: I am not sure what the rules are for this but hopefully I have done all this correctly and I am giving credit where credit is due. If not… please tell me, because I would really like to share more of them.
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.”
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

~ Dr. Seuss

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”

Plan of attack…

This weekend i plan on organizing my blog a bit more to my liking. Add in more categories, maybe figure out how to post/find pics i can put up that didnt come from my camera phone, and….. damn! I already forgot what else i was thinking of doing. I was reminiscing of my day. Yes, i am sure that is spelled wrong, but you get the point.

My aunt (and just about closest friend i have) stood up for herself (so proud).
At work i wanted to smack my boss for being and idiot. Ok, she not an idiot, but sometimes she sure acts like one. And i really hate the fact that i kmow shes a liar but she doesnt even realise what shes doing. Good thing i am left alone in my office with my headphones to block out the world. Music really can be a miracle worker.
More frustratration at work…. again, thank you music.
A bird sh!t on me. Not just one little drop, a whole entire spray. Oddly enuf, i only got one tiny speck on my shirt. How that happened is beyond me.
But i did get to watch 3 episodes of a new show i am watching. True Blood. Im liking this show. I have always had a thing for vampires. And wherewolves. And shapeshifters. But mainly vampires. Its the whole escape from reality for me. Ok…. theres more to it than just that. With the vampire thing, i kinda relate. Not the drinking blood, maybe the ding, but definately the sensitivity. Nothing like being able to really ‘feel’ something (or someone) when you touch them. That is the main reason i really dont touch people. But… thats a whole nother story.
Its just sometimes i know too much. I take in, or get too much. A book, movie, or show allows me to lose myself for awhile in that made up world. That may not have made a whole lot of sense right now, but someday it may. Maybe that can be a post this weekend.

Anyway…. it wasnt a bad day so to speak, wasnt a good day. I would say it was nothing to post about but i am sure i actually could turn it into a post. Hey look! I did! Im getting better at this. Ok, maybe not, but it sure makes me feel better and like i am accomplishing something.
So yes, back to posting and this weekend….. i plan on doing just that. Now if i can only remember tomorrow what i am thinking of now, it just might be something worth reading. Its kind of a challenge (for those of you who actually read this). It is something i suggested to a fellow blogger the next time shes overwhelmed with stress or thought, and something i pretty much do everyday out of habit (and need). Lets see if i can explain myself enough to get the point across but not ramble so much i lose your intrest. Now thats a challenge for me.

***Oh, and i gotta read up more on these tag things. I never really know what to put. I can usually come up with about 3, but thats it. I will get a better hang of this eventually. Nothing like learning first hand (if you dont mind)***
